Louisville Cardinals Baseball does not need an introduction. The program has been one of the most consistently competitive in college baseball for decades — a place where serious players develop into professionals and where the facilities are expected to match that standard. When Player Personnel Consultant Aaron Flaker began working through a broader upgrade of the program's training environment, the Shad Mason Hack Shack was one of the first areas he turned his attention to.

The Hack Shack — the Cardinals' dedicated indoor hitting facility — had become outdated. The mats were worn, the surface was not what a program of Louisville's caliber should be training on, and Flaker was in the process of upgrading multiple parts of the program piece by piece. When the conversation came to hitting mats, he called All Turf Mats.

The Installation at a Glance

The scope covered two areas of the program. One mat went over home plate on the field, giving hitters a consistent regulated surface for on-field batting practice. The remaining eight went inside the Hack Shack, equipping every hitting station in the indoor facility with a matching professional-grade surface.
