Bare Concrete and Smooth Floors

The most common indoor cage floor. The challenge: smooth concrete provides almost no grip for urethane-backed mats. Under batter footwork — lateral weight shifts, stride, and follow-through — a urethane mat on smooth concrete will shift. This is both a consistency issue and a safety issue.
